Glycerine

Glycerine is a material with over 1,500 known end uses and is produced in the hundreds of millions of pounds the world over. Its sustained use is a major concern for the oleochemical and bar soap industries. ACI promotes the new uses of glycerine by sponsoring the Glycerine Innovation Award each year in conjunction with the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS). In addition, ACI continues its work on both BSE and biodiesel issues to support the health of the glycerine market.
